Apple Inc. has warned Windows PC and iPod users not to upgrade to Windows Vista yet as it does not work well yet with the iTunes software and may even corrupt their iPod. Thought iTunes may work with some Vista computers, Apple stated that they know of some computability problems and is recommending that users wait until Apple resolves issues with its iTunes software within the next few weeks.

Apple said that the key to synchronizing music between the computer and the iPod is the iTunes software. Some of the problems include the inability to play music or video purchased from the online iTunes store, difficulties synchronizing contacts and calendars and possible failures of iPods plugged into a Vista computer.

Though Apple Inc. and Microsoft have partnered on some projects, they are still staunch rivals as evidenced by the recent ad campaign by Apple attacking Windows and their Vista launch with their PC and Mac commercials. Recently Bill Gates has answered back calling the ads false and misleading.
